Raw Food Diet and reversing Type 2 Diabetes

I have been reading about many success stories regarding Raw Food Diets and how it has helped 95% of people with type 2 reverse their diabetes entirely. Which means NO MEDS.... It has also been successful in reducing the insulin intake for type ones.

A Raw food diet consists of Raw vegetables, fruits, nuts, sprouted seeds. Nothing is cooked over 115 degrees. The vital nutrients are not destroyed by cooking the food, and your body receives the nutrients intact.

A group of type 1 and type 2 diabetics were put on a raw food diet for 30 days, and by day 4 they were off insulin and by day 30 they had completely reversed their Diabetes. Sounds to good to be true?  check out this video;  www.rawforthirtydays.com/

I have been on a Raw Food Diet for 24 Days and I feel amazing. I have lost 15 lbs and have more energy than I know what to do with.

Let me know what you think!!!

I remember reading this article about vegan diets when I was searching for the dietary component to my treatment plan. I eventually selected Dr. Bernstein's 6-12-12 controlled carbohydrate plan.

The bottom line for me has always been RESULTS. The video shows that the desired results are achievable, after a difficult transition period. Major lifestyle changes are rarely easy. My only concern would be the long term sustainability of the diet (a concern frequently heard about "low carb" diets as well) and the potential for health problems due to nutritional deficiencies.

If it can be done in a sustainable, healthy way that gets you the results you want, then it's another effective tool in the fight against diabetes.

Regards,

John

We have shown Gabriel Cousens film on diabetes several times to friends and the results are amazing and inspiring. There is also a different philosophy of healing involved than the usual allopathic way, and actually a different view of the nature of ourselves - and even of nature around us. I mean this differs from the mechanical view (as explained by physics and chemistry)

Hi,

I've had type 1 for 35 years.  the last 81/2 years, I've been eating a 100% raw vegan diet.  it brought my insulin levels way down, initially down to 25u/day, but they have crept up over the years.  I now take 35-40u/day, still way below the 75u/day when I was eating burgers and fries!

Raw foods also reversed two complications I was experiencing.  one was gastroperisis, the other was microaneurysms on my retinas.  I experienced several other health improvements, as well.  It really is a remarkable way to eat, and you feel just wonderful eating this way.  But, you have to learn to be completely self-sufficient around food, and I know that is too much for many people.  It's too bad, because the benefits are so amazing.  And, for a type 2, Gabriel Cousens has shown that it will completely get them off their meds.  What is not stated until you see the video, though, is it gets them off not just the diabetes meds, but many of their other meds as well!  It's about taking control of your health and allowing your body to be in it's natural state, which is one of health rather than one of disease.  What people put in their mouths is what is causing so much illness in the world!

anyway, in case anyone reading this lives near Petaluma, CA (northern CA), I will be making a presentation about this very topic on May 1st.  the link with directions is below.  Scroll down to see the talk description and my bio.  Thank you! - christian mastor
