Have you ever tried preparing desserts with carob powder (chocolate alternative)? I prefer the powder over the chips. In the supermarket and some nut stores the chips  are high in fat, and sugar if sweetened.  I purchase it by the pound fromwww.mountainroseherbs.com. It is also sold in a canister at Whole Foods by Chatfield ($4.99 for 16 oz.).

In addition, visit www.about.com They have some great no bake cookie recipes, vegan cakes and sugarfree desserts without artificial sweeteners. I improvised with some recipes and was pleased.
