Hey everyone! How's it going?

Life's going pretty good for me. School is already one fourth of the way done and I am having a blast in high school. My volleyball team has now won three out of three league games! Woohoo! Do any of you guys play sports? How about school? Any questions or concerns about anything?

From the thread What are you doing for school? in the Community forum:

Hey everyone! Hope your summer has been fun but now school is coming up and I was wondering how you all handle your diabetes at school. Do you tell your teacher's that you have diabetes?  Do your friends know? Do you keep your meter with you or do you have to test in the nurse's office?  What do you use to treat a low?  Let's get some dialog going!  Maybe we can help each other! I will look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you-keep it real!- Eva

From the thread Type one and Teens in the Community forum:

Hello!! My name is Eva.  I have Type one diabetes.  I was diagnosed when I was 8 . I am now 14. I am using an Animas pump and I am able to participate in most sports (Volleyball, Basketball and Track).  I wanted to start a thread here because I want to become a Pediatric Endocrinologist.  I think it is a good idea for teens with diabetes to have a place to "go" to talk, vent , gripe, or just express sucess in pumping and with diabetes in general.  I also have two other brothers that have diabetes and are on pumps ( though we are all on different brands) So, I plan on checking this site very often. If you have any ideas please post! School is coming up, how do you all handle everything?  It will be good to get to know everyone.  But first you have to post!!!!  TTYL-Eva
