Did you know that the average American gains approximately 7 pounds between the Thanksgiving and New Year's holiday?
In order to do this, one would have to eat the number of calories it takes to support current weight and then consume another 24,500 calories (3500 calories/pound x 7 pounds) over a 5 week period. This translates into an average of 700 extra calories per day over that 5 week period.
