The Top 14 Meters Sold in Drugstores - How Does Your Meter Stack Up?

We all know that one of the best things we can do for ourselves is monitor our blood glucose levels. Of course, the meter we select to help us is vital. In fact, comparing meters is like comparing new cars-it's nice to know what other people are buying.

Towne-Oller, a New York advertising firm, has the latest "numbers" on the 14 top-selling meters in the United States. The information is based on sales in drugstores during twelve month periods. The unit sale figures represent the year ending March 1995. The dollar sale figures represent the year ending January 1995. Since glucose meters are also sold in grocery stores and other establishments, the statistics provided should be taken as representative of just one, albeit important, area of the market.
