Profile, Arthur Teuscher, MD
Arthur Teuscher, MD, has been committed to providing quality diabetes care for many years and has truly international experience in the field. He attended medical school at the University of Berne and the University Paris. He did his residency at Boston City Hospital, Harvard Medical School and the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston in the early fifties.
Since that time he has been appointed to many positions and been a member of several professional organizations in Europe and the United States. Among other accomplishments Teuscher was the founding member and president of the European Diabetes Association's Diabetes Epidemiology Study Group, was an investigator in the World Health Organization's Multinational Study of Vascular Disease in Diabetes, is a reviewer for Diabetes Care and is co-president of PSR/IPPNW-Switzerland (Physicians for Social Responsibility and International Physicians for Prevention of Nuclear War).
