Relief Efforts Made to Earthquake Victims in El Salvador

Insulin For Life Provides Diabetes-Care Products to People with Diabetes

In the aftermath of the severe damage caused by the series of earthquakes in El Salvador in January, international relief efforts were made to treat people with diabetes in need of medical supplies.

An immediate response was made by Insulin For Life, Inc. of Australia after the Diabetes Association of El Salvador issued a call for help.

Manufacturers of diabetes-care products delivered 2,026 insulin cartridges, 2,320 syringes and 5,150 blood and urine strips to quake victims being treated in national hospitals.

The items arrived in El Salvador on January 27.
