New Safety Lancet with Spring-Action Mechanism and Protective Cover

On March 16, Futura Medical Company announced the release of a new blood-testing lancet specifically designed to reduce needle-stick injuries.

According to the company's press release, the Safe-T-Lance features a protective case and spring-action mechanism that makes drawing blood quick and comfortable while protecting the user from cross-contamination. The user chooses his or her testing site, then presses a button to release the needle, which extracts blood and then automatically retracts back into the case.

The Safe-T-Lance comes in three sizes: Low Flow, Medium Flow and High Flow.
