New Software Provides Analysis of Sugar Levels
On May 15, Roche Diagnostics of Indianapolis, Indiana, introduced its new software package for tracking blood sugar levels and presenting them in formats that help patients better manage their diabetes.
The Windows-based program, called Accu-Chek Compass Diabetes Care Software, collects data from blood glucose meters and displays the information either on a computer screen or on paper. It records daily sugar levels in a logbook, then creates daily and weekly trend reports in a variety of formats—pie charts and graphs—to help doctors and patients identify patterns in highs and lows. The Accu-Chek software can download information from the Accu-Chek Advantage and Accu-Chek Complete blood glucose monitors.
For more information, call Roche Diagnostics at (800) 428-5076.
