Features Easy-to-Use Design
Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals of Denmark is now offering its InnoLet insulin delivery system for insulin users. The easy-to-use device is specifically designed for people with diabetes who have poor eyesight, weak manual dexterity or difficulty following the steps normally required to self-inject insulin.
The InnoLet features a dial with large numbers that lets the user quickly select and adjust a dosage. The shape of the device allows it to be gripped in any of several ways. The user hears a click sound for each unit dialed and presses a large color-coded and tactile-coded push button to inject the insulin. According to Novo Nordisk, the InnoLet will be available with two formulations of Novolin premixed insulin.
