All in One-Syringe Dispenser and Disposal Unit Approved by FDA

Select a new insulin syringe from the bottom and dispose of a used one in the top of a new all-in-one syringe dispenser and disposal unit called the UltiGuard, made by Ulti Med, Inc., of St. Paul, Minnesota.

Each UltiGuard system contains 100 sterilized and packaged UltiCare brand syringes, which are latex-free. After a syringe is used, it can be placed into a rolling carriage in the top of the unit and rolled into the container's tamperproof internal compartment.

The unit, which has recently been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, is available in major pharmacies and contains 3/10 cc, 1/2 cc, or 1 cc syringes with either 29- or 30-gauge needles.

The price for the UltiGuard is $21.99.
