Diabetes Care Better Served on Older People

People with diabetes aged 65 and older receive better diabetes care than do younger patients.

A Minnesota study involving 1,109 people with diabetes, aged 45 and older, evaluated factors such as complications, blood glucose control, preventative care and quality of life.

The study concluded that diabetes care should be improved for all patients, with care customized for different ages.
