New Sweetener Contains No Preservatives or Artificial Flavors
Sweet Simplicity
Sweet Simplicity is a new sweetener on the market made from erythritol (an all-natural sugar alcohol found in grapes, pears and even some soy products), fructose (found in a variety of fruits and in honey) and natural flavors.
Manufactured by Whole Earth Sweetener Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Merisant, Sweet Simplicity contains no preservatives, artificial flavors or colors. All ingredients are certified non-genetically modified.
According to Whole Earth Sweetener, Sweet Simplicity can be used in place of it sugar in hot and cold beverages or sprinkled on cereal and fruit. It can also be used for baking.
Sweet Simplicity comes in 6-gram sachets with 30 sachets to a package. The suggested retail price is $9.99 per package. It can be ordered from the Web site SweetSimplicitySweetener.com and will soon be available in natural specialty stores across the country.
