Children of Single Fathers Have Less Access to Healthcare

In an analysis of a survey that included 62,193 American children under the age of eighteen, researchers found that single dads are less likely to have health insurance and less likely to take their kids to well-child doctor visits than single mothers.

This was the case even though they were generally better off financially than single mothers. The researchers noted that men are also less likely than women to visit the doctor for check-ups on their own account.
