A few comments from some participants in the last session (held January 2010):

The language school was excellent. Small classes, excellent teachers, and good curriculum. The school time and leisure time were divided well, we had fun at both. What a wonderful city Cuernavaca is, a great place to have the school. I got many of the diabetes aspects that I need with my patients.

Thank you for a wonderful and very organized trip. The Spanish classes, the school, accommodations and the guide to where to go, where to eat, where to bank, etc. was very helpful. The visit to your beautiful home was a highlight. Loved every minute of it all.

Thank you again for an amazing experience. We had a ball! The education was excellent and painless. I have been using my Spanish daily with patients and I think I am finally in the right tense. I can't wait to come back; I can't stop talking about the fun, the language and cultural immersion and, of course, the fiesta. (She celebrated her birthday in Cuernavaca.)

The classes were fun, full of energy and entertaining. The instructor was extremely well prepared. I am an educator and therefore can be critical, but all the instructors seemed to be versed in adult learning principles, they allowed self direction and keep participation high. The excursions were all interesting and fun and I never felt herded just taken care of. Everyone at the school went all out for us.

We were so well taken care; the excursions were great opportunities to practice and experience the culture. I loved the boat in Mexico - we sang we danced and bonded as group.

I was impressed with how the teachers used adult learning skills to help us. They also were very sensitive to our individual needs. It was a dream fulfilled for me to be able to participate in this event. I was impressed with the organization of the whole trip. In response to the question - Did you get what you needed professionally through the course: Yes! I have had to use it twice this week already! My co-workers tell I sound more confident when I speak.

Comment from an accompanying spouse:

I enjoyed the opportunity to enrich my Spanish. I appreciated your efforts to enable us to visit so many places. Truly, language cannot be separated from culture and if you do not know something about the culture you cannot understand the language.
