THE Diabetes Dude

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know about a big event I have coming up! Next Thursday, August 26th, I am chartering a bus that I am filling with 50 of my closest friends with diabetes and traveling from Taunton, MA to New York City to invade the Today Show on NBC with my blue flamingos! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to make a HUGE impact on people and let everyone know about my campaign! I hope that by doing this, people will realize that diabetes is a REAL disease that effects so many of us, young and old, and I hope to encourage people from all over the country to get out and do something to help raise diabetes awareness just like me and my friends!

We even have my new friend, Ken, joining us on this event. Ken is a professional photographer who has a really cool project of his own called "The Broken Pancreas Project". Ken's project is a photo blog of the faces of diabetes, young and old, and I am very proud to have him join us for this opportunity! If you live in the Taunton area and would like to join in this very cool event, please send me an email and I will let you know if we have enough seats available.

If you live in the NY or NJ area and would like to participate, please feel free to stop by the Today Show, we plan to arrive at 5:30 AM and stay for the duration of the taping of the show outside in the audience section. I would love to have you join in this crusade! If you have a flamingo already, please bring it with you because I have a limited amount of flamingos that I am bringing on this trip.

If you live anywhere else in the US and would just like to show your support, please tell everyone you know to watch the Today Show on NBC this Thursday, August 26th and watch for me, my flamingos, and my friends!
