January Tools and Inspiration for diabetes care and prevention
New York, NY - December 31, 2010 - Divabetic, one of the country's leading health and wellness nonprofits begins the New Year with an outreach jackpot of resources and tools for those affected by diabetes. With online and special events, Divabetic's mission is to provide an empowering and supportive environment so that no one living with diabetes has to cope alone or in silence.
"Our goal is to keep everyone healthy and happy in the way we know best - wellness with a wow," states Max "Mr. Divabetic" Szadek, Divabetic's founder and executive director. The games include two versions of Diabetes Numerology (self-care solution puzzles) and two versions of Mystery Diva (diabetes-related clues with a celebrity twist). Also during the month, Divabetic awards the first of 12 super-sized gift basket giveaways for Diabetes Numerologycontestants on its Diva TalkRadio Diabetes Roundtable show. On Diva Talk Radio, Diabetes Spotlight airs live Tuesday, January 4, 2011, 6-6:30pm Eastern and welcomes Fox News Channel reporter Orlando Salinas, who goes one-on-one with Mr. Divabetic in a discussion on how to manage a busy career living with Type 2 diabetes. Diabetes Roundtable airs live Tuesday, January 11, 2011, 6-6:30pm Eastern and features Divabetic's Charlie's Angels of Diabetes Care - certified diabetes educators from around the country, Mama Rose Marie, Stan the Announcer Man and Diabetes Numerology contestant Rebecca W. of Ossining, NY. In the show's Dining Out with a Dietitian, the cast reviews Soulplantation and Sweet Tomatoes for diabetes-friendly menu choices. Plus, celebrity make-up artist Jeff Jones checks-in with beauty tips and delivers a tribute to his friend and colleague, the late Teena Marie, R&B singer, songwriter and producer.
