Glooko IR Adapter
People who use one of three ACCU-CHEK blood glucose monitoring systems and either the Apple iPhone or iPod touch can now access Glooko Inc.'s Logbook app, thanks to the introduction of the Glooko IR Adapter.
Glooko is co-promoting the new device with Roche Diabetes Care, which manufactures ACCU-CHEK.
The adapter allows ACCU-CHEK meter users to download their meter readings to their iPhones or iPods via Glooko's MeterSync Cable and Logbook app. Logbook, which resides on users' mobile Apple devices, tracks blood glucose readings and detects trends. The stored, easily accessible long-term readings allow users to make comparisons over time and collect a solid set of data that they can pass on to their healthcare providers.
The Glooko IR Adapter is compatible with three ACCU-CHEK systems: ACCU-CHEK Aviva, ACCU-CHEK Compact Plus, and the recently released ACCU-CHEK Nano SmartView Meter System.
The Glooko MeterSync Cable and Glooko IR Adapter are available for purchase on Amazon.com. Pricing for the products is listed on the Glooko website at www.glooko.com/product/logbook/. The Glooko Logbook app is available for free at the App Store and is compatible with iPhone and iPod touch devices.
In addition to the IR Adapter, Glooko has released a new version of its Logbook app. Improvements to the Share function allow users to easily share their logbook data, either by two-week or one-month PDFs via email, efax, or AirPrint, and open the PDFs in other apps on their iOS devices.
