A study by J.D. Power and Associates recently published online examined customer satisfaction with blood glucose meters among 2,681 adult meter users who have either type 1 or 2 diabetes. Survey results found the highest level of satisfaction among users of Roche Diabetes Care's ACCU-CHEK products compared with other blood glucose meter brands.
The survey assessed six factors: performance, ease of use, design, features, test strip cost, and training.
ACCU-CHEK meters "perform particularly well in the performance factor, reflecting a high level of confidence among users that they are obtaining accurate readings" reported the J.D. Powers press release that announced the study results.
According to Debbie Hinnen, a diabetes educator with Mid-America Diabetes Associates in Wichita, KS, a meter that is easy to use as well as accurate helps patients make informed decisions about what they eat, insulin use, and other lifestyle habits.
